De Pisis

I have to say this restaurant exceeded our expectations in every way. We were in Venice celebrating our anniversary and needed to make a last minute dinner reservation. We wanted something with a view (even if the food wasn't amazing) for sunset. Everything was booked except De Pisis so we decided to make a reservation and planned to get a small entree and drinks while enjoying the sunset but moving on to another restaurant with better reviews and photos for dinner later in the evening. Needless to say we ended up staying at De Pisis! They sat us at a secluded table with an amazing view (which we requested if possible in our reservation on Open Table) and really made this a special evening for us! The wait staff was very friendly and attentive, but what really blew us away was the food. We didn't see a lot of recent reviews with photos that could confirm this wasn't a tourist trap but I'm glad we took the chance! Even the bread at the table was incredible! We ordered a pasta and the special sea bass available for the day. It was all amazing! We cancelled our other dinner plans and were so happy this worked out for the occasion. The restaurant wasn't very busy for some reason but the quiet away from the hyperactive restaurants just down the canal was refreshing. I would highly recommend this place for dinner! You will be pleasantly surprised at the quality and value of the location and food. We will be returning next time we're in Venice! Thank you for the unforgettable evening!

Go to De Pisis if you're looking for a really personal and professional experience that's very close to the waters of Venice. There's a good chance that you'll experience and hear gondolliers row by singing to their guests. Located at the back and to the left in Hotel Bauer, we had a really great time. The staff were the highlight, so friendly and professional. Always showing up at the right time, trying to be helpful but not overdoing it and they take amazing pictures to add to your memories so don't be afraid to ask! While we booked, there seemed to be plenty of open tables so you should be able to walk-in for lunch. Dinner may be more busy. Either way, reserving online ahead of time is recommended just in case. The food while good we felt was a bit under par considering how pricey the menu is. An exception to this was their tiramisu which was excellent. But honestly the ambiance and location is one of the best we had while in Venice. Would recommend!

Posto incredibile, sia arrivandoci in motoscafo che camminando attraverso la porta di calle Tredici Martiri. Trattamento squisitamente professionale come si addice alla Venezia che accoglie. Ricevere gli amici su questa terrazza da un tocco indelebile a qualsiasi evento. Alla fine, anche uscire su San Moisè aggiunge un’ultima emozione barocca che ti reintroduce a San Marco.

Assolutamente eccezionale sotto ogni aspetto, costoso e ne vale la pena. Abbiamo fatto una cena favolosa e la mattina dopo una lussuosa colazione a buffet. Spero di tornare presto! Absolutely outstanding in every aspect, pricey and worth it. We had a fabulous dinner, and the next morning, a luxury breakfast buffet. Hope to return soon!

Ottima cucina, il rombo è eccezionale, il panorama unico...Ristorante elegante e raffinato. Costo elevato. Bellissimo sia d'inverno che d'estate se si cena sulla terrazza.
